Design

The design of the Czech Film Centre website is built upon print materials that already existed. Bright and saturated colours are specific to CFC's visual materials and therefore have been used for the website as well. It was essential to design a user friendly website where information is easily accessible. Apart from these crucial qualities, we also aimed to create a visually attractive and entertaining presentation.

The homepage serves as a notice board of the Film Centre. Visitors can immediately access up-to-date announcements and become familiar with the web structure.

Boxes on the right side are closed in all other sections than the homepage and can be opened by a click. We used this solution to allow the user individually work with the web content and access information such as charts, forms or other documents in a flexible way without losing the track with the homepage.

Technical Solutions

The Czech Film Center internet presentation uses the following technologies: PHP5, MySQL5, Flash, XHTML, CSS and Javascript.

The website was created with special consideration for accessibility according to the Blind Friendly Web method as well as the rules for website accessibility issued by the Czech Ministry of Information. The website is accessible to useres with Blocked Images, Flash, Cascading Style Sheets, or Javascript.
