Description
The FIFE aims to promote and give access to films and audiovisual documents from all countries, in all genres and for all audiences. The films will address themes relating to the environment, sustainable development and ekology. The main goal of the festival organizers is to favor a wide variety of outlooks (whether denouncing or offering solutions) on questions and issues relating to these themes.
THEMATICS
The environment, ecology and sustainable development in the widest sense: protection of nature, flora and fauna, biodiversity, fight against nuisances and pollution, management of resources, quality of air and water, quality of agriculture, global warming, the food-processing industry, fuel, health and environment, but also urban planning, housing and living conditions, transportation, science, research and technology, solidarity, north-south and east-west relationships, globalization, migration patterns, integration, education, fight against poverty, participative democracy, citizens and those who govern them, tradition and modernity…
COMPETITION
The official competition is comprised of four sections:
- Feature films
- Feature length documentaries
- Short length documentaries
- Short films
The documentaries and feature films in competition must be premiering in France. They must not yet have been released in theatres or screened on television in France.
AWARDS
The Official Jury will present the following awards:
- The Grand Prize: 10,000 Euros
- The Jury Prize: 5,000 Euros
- The Best Documentary Award: 5,000 Euros.
