Description

During the course of the Karlovy Vary IFF, CEE Films will bring you up to speed on the latest films from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, presenting new feature and documentary films in production or post-production with official premiere dates after KVIFF. CEE Films comprises several special events designed to provide sales agents, distributors, film festival programmers, producers, and investors the fullest overview of current film projects, and to enable them to launch talks in plenty of time. Among these events are: East of the West – Works in Progress (presentation of new feature films that are either in post-production or have been finished), and Docu Talents from the East (spotlights newly emerging original documentaries from Bulgaria to Estonia, presenting them to festival officials, distributors, sales agents, and journalists even before they have been completed. In seven-minute presentations, directors and producers of selected projects pitch their films with trailers of already shot footage. The event is organized in cooperation with the Institute of Documentary Film and the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival.).
