Description

CentEast Market Warsaw is held every year during the Warsaw International Film Festival. The event is aimed at film professionals working on films from Central and Eastern Europe (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarussia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Greenland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine). Among the film professionals attending the event are producers, film fund and film institution representatives, distributors, television executives, and film festival organizers. Besides serving as a meeting place for industry professionals, the market includes presentations of film projects, private screenings of finished films, panel discussions, and workshops. The project’s long-term aim is to support international cooperation and to expand the possibilities for presenting films on markets beyond their home countries. Czech projects that have participated in the market: The Brothers Karamazov (2008), r. Petr Zelenka.
