Synopsis

In the morning they find that they are not alone, and slowly realize that they have gone back in time to the year 1953. Escape. Capture. Interrogation. Torture of the innocent by electrical current. The boy manages to make a dramatic escape from the prison and return to the year 2008, while his girlfriend remains imprisoned in the past. Nobody believes when he tries to explain what happened. In the end he meets his girlfriend, who is now in her seventies. The story wasdeveloped during the making of Stories from the Iron Curtain in the former prison in Uherské Hradiště, one of the most cruel in Czechoslovakia, infamous for torture with electrical current and executions. Prison warden Ludvík Hlavačka later became the chief commander of the Czechoslovak border patrol and ordered the electrification of the Iron Curtain.
