Synopsis
Young Janosik, burnt out by war experiences and disappointed in love, joins a team of bandits. Soon he
becomes the troop’s leader and is recognized as a brave but honorable commander, as he never kills
anyone he robs. Alongside the fame, he also begins to enjoy popularity with women. But Janosik’s
success sparks jealousy in one troop member, the greedy and brutal Huncaga.
The story of Janosik, a legendary “Central European Robin Hood,” is based on authentic 18th-century
documents and romantic legend.
