Synopsis
An observational and a strictly unbiased documentary film about the Czechs who – considering their
experience with the Soviet occupation as well as the current US-led War on Terror – are trying to decide
whether to host a foreign army. Do we belong with the West or rather with the East? Could we cope in
an altogether different arrangement? The film captures the country once again involved with political
slogans – “With the Soviet Union for all eternity” and, on the other hand, the US “You’re either with us or
against us.” A parallel portrait of two men, two generals in the highly publicized war over the US radar
base – a government lobbyist and an obstinate local mayor.
