Synopsis

The cinematic personal ad of a perpetually miserable man who is still waiting for the moment when his
life will start. He maintains his austere, lonely life with the dying pangs of faith that something just has to
happen, that fate will finally fulfil his ideal vision of a woman, derived from a biological right to love. The
ever-present thoughts of suicide are only temporarily dissipated by his reaction to a new text in the
personal ads: “Hello, I am a single, slender university educated man, 184, somewhere between fifty and
biological extinction and I want to get married, have a family and my own children. I look forward to your
reply and send my regards. Jiří.”
