Synopsis

Young, confident dancer Klára (Zuzana Kanócz) is offered a chance to dance with one of the world’s best ballet companies. To fulfill her dream she practices as if her life depended on it. In this emotionally charged time, when she needs a kindred soul, she catches her boyfriend, Tomáš, cheating on her. Their longtime relationship is falling apart, and a difficult family situation complicates life even more... To make matters worse, she breaks her leg, and her lifelong dream slips further from her grasp. She feels miserable and just when she thinks it can’t get any worse, she meets a charismatic surgeon, 54-year-old Rudolf (Bronislav Wroclawski), with a similar fate. Having left his wife Marta, he now takes care of their 13 year-old daughter. Over time Klára builds a friendly relationship with her career suddenly ceases to be number one. Everything seems ideal – until Marta appears on the scene again...
