Synopsis
A screen adaptation of Jiří Hubač's successful House on High. He wrote the play for actress Jiřina Bohdalová and she also stars in the film version. Director František Filip sticks close to the original, faithfully rendering the story of an older cafeteria worker named Klára, her relatives and friends, and a luxurious villa. Václav Vydra, in the role of Klára's stepbrother, turns in an excellent performance.
