Emir Kusturica's parable of war is divided INTO three part (War, Cold War, War) and captures fragments of the history of the countries located on the Balkan peninsula. The Felliniesque fairy tale form of this 'musical' tragicomedy is held together by the story of two pals and their love in the period between 1941 and 1992.
