Synopsis
Juraj Herz's directing comeback came with an absurd Kafkaesque tragicomedy. An average young office worker, tempted by some dark power, penetrates to the heart of Prague's Lucerna Palace and encounters the strange characters who reside there. The film is an adaptation of a Karel Pecka's story, and is remarkable for the allegorical character of the narrative structure and the vivid atmosphere.
