Synopsis
Director Václav Křístek's fairy tale presenting the story of philanthropic Emperor Maxmilián. He goes out to live among simple folk dressed as an ordinary groom, and meets up with a former drummer who is in love with the daughter of the local knacker. A crafty administrator makes a false accusation and the two friends are threatened with a bit of injustice: they are about to be executed. But this is a fairy tale and, of course, it all comes out right in the end.
