Synopsis
The first Czech feature fairy tale to earn a sequel based on box-office success. The happy couple of the original, Eliška and Jindřich, are forced to part when Jindřich is called to war: a foolish prince longs to make Eliška his wife and thinks he'll get the chance if he impresses Jindřich INTO the army. Dressed as poor wayfarer he tries to woo her. But Jindřich returns FROM Turkey and punishes the prince with the help of sprightly ghoul friends. Director Zdeněk Troška chose to emphasize the comic elements of the narrative.
