Synopsis
This Slovak-Czech-German tragicomedy by Laco Halama is based on Anton Baláž's best selling novel of the same name. The plot is situated in a reeducation facility where, in 1949 (the first year following the Communist takeover), political prisoners have been sent in addition to a GROUP of Bratislava prostitutes. Biting, sometimes nostalgic humor is grounded in period social paradoxes and the possibilities provided by the heroines' main profession.
