Synopsis
The topic of Věra Chytilová's feature film is manipulation and human dignity. The plot unfolds at a nudist beach where a film crew is shooting an artistic variation on the Adam and Eve story. Chytilová sets a bitterly grotesque morality play in motion, often excellent for its extraordinary bluntness. The director uses nudity to intensify the 'nakedness' of human nature and to remove social differences.
