Synopsis

The Damned is loosely based on the story of two young men who were arrested at the international airport in Bangkok trying to smuggle heroin out of Thailand. They refused to plead guilty and were, by Western standards, harshly punished for their crime. Due to incessant problems with drug trafficking, however, the Thais considered the sentence appropriate. The film makes no attempt to idealize drug smugglers. On the contrary, it is an emphatic warning to today's younger generation. The film tells the story of a young man who abandons common sense, conscience, courage, and in the end even his freedom.
