Synopsis

A curious and quaint medley of beauty and ugliness, wisdom and stupidity, joy and sadness, filth and colourfulness. A strange place where time has stood still. A story of the lost mining settlements in Northern Moravia and their bizarre inhabitants. During the 18th and 19th centuries, they migrated to this area from all corners of Europe to get jobs. Now the settlements are like a god-forsaken open-air museum of old industrial architecture and old-fashioned human values. The absurd situations of everyday life trigger tears and smiles alike.
