Prague has decided to compete to host the 2016 Olympic Games. What exactly are the implications of this candidacy? The documentary Beautiful Prague to Become Olympic? investigates through Olympic circles and spheres the motivations of the various concerned parties, and for this end the film itself becomes a sports ground and exhibition venue for the sports performances of the invited “stars” (architects, politicians, athletes, non-athletes, the public, economists, artists, natural scientists…). In the film itself, the topical subject becomes a training ground of images and ideas which tell us much more about our society than we may have wanted to know…
