Synopsis

Liberalists believe that everyone makes their own fate. People are goods and when deciding their fate they move between two poles: to sell themselves, or not. This humorous documentary features the playwright and journalist Roman Sikora and presents how unwanted theatre artists live in Brno. Although he was awarded the Alfred Radok Prize ten years ago, he was sacked from the theatre, even from the position of porter. He is now
thinking of taking up a job in the scriptwriting office of a commercial television station. The end of the film witnesses his trip to his native town of Třinec, where the living room of a working-class family reappears in Czech documentary film after a long absence.
