Czech audiences’ interest in domestic pictures continues
Czech audiences’ interest in domestic pictures continues. Attendance for Jiří Vejdělek’s comedy Women in Temptation, which opened in Czech cinemas on March 18, 2010, exceeded a million viewers. The crime-thriller Kajínek hit theatres in early August and drew a record 119,182 viewers during its opening weekend in the Czech Republic. Kajínek thus sailed to the top of the list for premiere weekend stats, beating such hits as Empties, I Served the King of England and Bathory. During its first 10 days in Czech theatres, the movie attracted nearly 300,000 viewers.
