Since 2003 we have been presenting the Czech film industry in the form of a stand, and since 2006 in a joint stand of several countries under the title Central European Cinema – together with Slovakia and Slovenia ( up to 2010 also with Poland and Hungary).

In the months leading up to the Berlinale we assist Czech producers and other film professionals (distributors, festival representatives, institutions, film schools and students) with following activities:

• we remind them of the deadlines for film submissions and accreditations
• we inform them about the possibilities of the professional programme
• consult on presentation options (events, printed materials, screenings, advertising, etc.)
• we are actively sharing basic and contextual information about specific films and filmmakers through our communication channels

In the market itself, we are the source of information on current news in the field of Czech film, the infrastructure of the Czech film industry and opportunities in the field of international co-productions:

• we provide information on current Czech productions
• we provide contacts to film companies and filmmakers in the Czech film industry
• we are answering questions about financing and conditions for international co-productions with the Czech Republic
• we negotiate with representatives of major international festivals and film and co-production markets, educational programmes, film funds, institutions and other existing and potential partners
• we communicate with Czech and foreign journalists and try to expand our contacts with film sellers
• we provide basic PR for films at the market or festival through our communication channels
