The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and its associated film market is the largest professional event dedicated to short films. We have been exhibiting regularly at the market since 2010. Each year, the Clermont-Ferrand Festival presents over 350 films in three main competitions and a number of additional programme sections. Annually, the film market welcomes around 3,500 accredited professionals, 37 exhibiting countries, 300 film and media organisations, 530 producers, 48 TV buyers, 95 distributors and nearly 500 festival curators.
Our stand in Clermont-Ferrand serves to present current Czech short film productions, to establish new and maintain existing contacts in the short film sector, to introduce new films, filmmakers, film festivals and schools in the Czech Republic, as well as the possibilities of financing and production in the Czech Republic. Each year, we also present the current collection of Czech Short Films in Clermont-Ferrand.
For the past 4 years, EuroConnection, a co-production market focused on financing short films, has been held as part of the film market. Since 2015, the Czech Film Center has been a partner of the co-production market, which means that it nominates one Czech project for this prestigious programme, selected by an expert jury.
