Lucie is a composer and performer of contemporary music, whose experimental approach is quite bizarre and hard to accept. She avoids projecting any emotion in her music, “stitching” her pieces together based on knitting patterns or water turbine schemes. Often, she encounters performers who don´t want to play her pieces or listeners who cover their ears, but she keeps placing authenticity above everything else. Lucie´s new composition, Accept, finally becomes a professional success abroad, but her personal life remains unfulfilled. When she is suddenly struck by the loss of someone close, Lucie remains adrift alone in unexplored corners of sound and noise. Is she still able to compose music without any emotion? Director Jan Hubáček tries to find the answer in his debut documentary.
