What is the costs on private life of the protagonists in the fight for free media and free speach in the post-soviet context. The director Samara Sagynbaeva has been witnessing how her husband Ali Toktakunov, one of the prominent investigative journalist, challenged the ruling nomenklatura by bringing transparency of a corruption case into the public light. It costed both of them their privacy and security, they were threatened in life. The film discusses the value of public good, freedom and free speach in face of sacrifice of the private life of one family.
