A documentary about closeness to nature, hidden dramas, and disappearing birds.
Lively situations, concentrated observations, authentic diaries from scientific expeditions and animations create a distinctive feature-length documentary about the fragile and vital links between man, birds, and the landscape. Through the renowned ornithologist Luboš Peške, the changes in these links affect the life and death of birds – on the level of individuals, populations, and species. Vultures, eagles, or ibis receive receivers. They change from anonymous pieces into concrete individuals and draw our attention to their destinies. The tension emerges between human capability to have a relationship only with a particular individual and the fact that for survival of the species, the individual means nothing.
