Years after the annexation of Crimea, Misha (24) returns to his Ukrainian hometown to attend the funeral of his father, who abandoned him when he was a small child, only to find a stranger’s body in the coffin. His father, a former Russian military attaché, has disappeared again and the trauma of abandonment has resurfaced. As he delves into his father’s world in search of answers, he is drawn into a dark world of provincial mobsters lurking beneath the sleepy town.
