The film's theme opens up a discussion about guilt and conscience. It offers an exploration of the evil within us that may have caused pain to someone close. It resonates with vague, suppressed feelings that we all experience to some extent. The main character, a man, tries to find the courage to take a step forward, to start facing his fears, and to attempt to make amends for the consequences of his actions. He leaves the big city – the routine of his life – and sets out on a journey. He travels through a melancholic homeland landscape, triggering memories buried deep in his subconscious. Experiences and diverse encounters with people become a test and an attempt to overcome his feelings of guilt. The necessity to help his son and a sick girl serves as an impetus for his awakening.
