Czech film is heading to UK! 20th Anniversary Glasgow Film Festival (running 28 February–10 March, 2024) will feature a sweet looking Czech, Please! country focus this year, "shining a light on the best and brightest of Czech cinema". A total of 6 feature films were selected for this occasion, some of which will be shown in the UK for the first time ever.

A total of 6 feature films were selected for this special occasion, some of which will be shown in the UK for the first time ever. The list goes as follows: psychological drama Mr. and Mrs. Stodola by Petr Hátle, which will see its UK premiere at Glasgow, Cold War era drama Brothers by Tomáš Mašín, cyberpunk sci-fi Restore Point by Robert Hloz (in Scottish premiere), Is There Any Place For Me, Please?, an intimate documentary by Jarmila Štuková, visually arresting period drama We Have Never Been Modern by Matěj Chlupáček (both in their UK premiere), and delightfully rebelious Czechoslovak New Wave classic Daisies by Věra Chytilová, meticulously restored by Národní filmový archiv, Prague.

The Czech Film Fund will be represented at Glasgow – Barbora Lochmanová from its film promotion department Czech Film Center will attend the Industry Focus. If you plan to be in Glasgow, come and joins us for a Coffee Morning with the Czech Film Fund, which will take place on Tuesday, March 5 at 10:30 in Adelaide Place as part of the Industry Focus.
